
Ian will explore the steps required by individuals to make a voluntary personal transition to a low-impact lifestyle. Using examples from the philosophy and ideas covered in Resurgence Magazine, Ian will propose that transition to a truly elegant, healthy and joyous lifestyle that lies within the limits of our ecosystem is achievable and desirable.

Ian left a career as a scientist studying the molecular basis of inflammatory diseases to address the root causes of social and environmental imbalance. In 2009, after working on several grassroots projects which link business, not-for profit and public sector organizations he joined the Resurgence Trust as their Partnership Co-ordinator.
