Sometime carpenter, gardener, father; has lived within various intentional communities, ranging from inner-city Manchester, to a rural Retreat House; and as Director at Braziers Park School of Integrative Social Research. Presently living in Oxford; Chair of COIN, the local Climate Change charity; involved with Transition Oxford; and a founder member of Oxcar, a small group of residents supporting the introduction of Car Clubs to Oxford.
