“I just wanted to thank you (and your team) for the amazing day you organised on Saturday. It was such a pleasure to be part of it. I attended 5 events (Klaus Elle, Sue Gerhardt, Thom Osborn, you (Michael) and Suzette Clough) and each felt like a gift. I work on issues related to organisational change and adaptation to climate change and love to explore this area between whole systems, complexity, metaphor, creativity, whole person head and heart approaches etc., so the day had so much to offer me. I wasn’t able to make a contribution then but would like to now.”
“I simply wanted to thank you for this amazing day. I felt and am still feeling so inspired, my head is buzzing with ideas and actions to take. I felt that it was a gift to be able to be there and I hope it felt the same for you. A big big big thank you again.”
“Just a quick email to say what a great event it was yesterday. We talked to lots of people about compost and managed to build a compost heap on the allotments, so all in all it went well I think. Sadly I didn’t manage to get to any of the talks - too busy talking about compost! - but Robert went to some and said they were really interesting.”
“Just to report that I thought your event was fantastatic and I enjoyed being part of it. The visitors to my exhibit reported that they enjoyed your programme and benefited immensely from their experience of the day as a whole.”
“... thanks for organising Saturday - really inspiring and thought provoking - we are definitely looking more at our own way of life as well as getting more involved in our local community. I personally would love to see several wind turbines on the fields at the end of the road however your brother advised that I really should look at the efficience of our own houses first as being more cost and time effective.”
“... to say thank you for organising such an informative and interesting day. I’m sure it took an enormous amount of energy + inspiration.”
“I thought yesterday was a huge success. It was so much bigger and more diversified than I had imagined. A most creative and politically effective way to mark a big birthday. Thank you!”
“Thank you so much for last Saturday’s sustainability event. I thoroughly enjoyed the day and brought a great deal away from it. I think that it was an inspired way to celebrate your 50th birthday. I appreciated your flexibility in changing the rooms around at the last moment so that I was able to attend the talks that I was specially interested in. It also made a refreshing change not be asked to fill in evaluation sheets (!) but nonetheless I would like to give you the feedback that the whole event was enjoyable, informative and inspiring. Please pass on my particular congratulations to the cooks who although working with unknown numbers and in unfamiliar circumstances prepared such delicious and memorable meals.”
“I just wanted to write to thank you for organising such a fantastic day on Saturday. It was a fabulous way to celebrate your birthday and I will always remember it. I found many of the speakers very inspiring and came away wanting to do more and change the direction of my research. It was great to meet like-minded people, hear what others are doing and to re-think what I can do, too. You have given me lots to think about and to do!”
