This is designed as a family-friendly event. We have aimed to provide activities for young people which allow parents to engage fully in some of the talks, presentations and other events. Here are the timings for children’s activities and workshops for young people.
The following are definite:
- there will be a creche available for 3 hours in the morning (9.30 - 12.30)
- there will be craft activities, led by Lois, Miranda and Vicky from Low Carbon West Oxford (children must be accompanied by parents or carers): Collage, Jumper Monsters & Sock Puppets, Fabric Flowers
- there will be a story telling event (suitable for everyone above the age of 6) with Chris Smith between 17:00 and 18:00
- there will be a workshop, led by Jesus Escalona, on making amazing tropical-looking fish out of recycled bottles (10:00-12:00)
- there will be bicycle maintenance workshops (bring any bikes that need fixing along as demonstration examples)
- there will be a family compost game at the composting stall
- there will probably be two practical compost building workshops during the day, led by Sheila Parry
