Earthwatch is an international environmental charity which is committed to conserving the diversity and integrity of life on earth to meet the needs of current and future generations. We work with a wide range of partners, from individuals who work as conservation volunteers on research teams through to corporate partners, governments and institutions.

Human activities and climate change pose multiple threats to marine species. Hear about Earthwatch’s research in projects as wide ranging as Trinidad’s leatherback sea turtles and Hebridean whales and dolphins.

Earthwatch Expedition Open Days are intended for people who are new to Earthwatch, or have never been on an Earthwatch expedition before. You have the opportunity to familiarise yourself with all the opportunities available, and chat with our friendly and experienced staff about the amazing experiences you can have on our vital conservation research expeditions.

Three experts will be joined by an enterprising member of the public to present solutions to the looming crisis of access to water for drinking and sanitation. Our speakers will then be interrogated by a ‘Dragon’s Den’ style panel before you, the audience, cast the deciding vote.
