This is undoubtedly turning into a news-worthy event, with lots of interest and bookings coming in. It is an unusual event in several respects:
- it is a community event, organised by local people without vested interests (unbiased, not selling anything to anybody)
- it is apparently attracting a lot of people with a serious interest in sustainability
- it provides substantial information, 30+ top-notch presenters giving input of 1 hour each, as well as opportunities for networking and joint action
- it is unusual in its emphasis on thriving (!) – sustainably - finding ways of creating a more fulfilling and satisfying lifestyle, rather than being driven by fear or guilt only
- the event includes a focus on ‘sustainable psychology’ - looking at the ‘hearts and minds’, beliefs, attitudes and social/psychological aspects of our future
Taking all of this into account, it should be possible to convince local radio and TV to cover it, wouldn’t you say ?
Anybody out there who has any personal connections ?
