Mark Luntley graduated from Loughborough University in 1982 with a degree in Economic History and Politics. He qualified as a CiPFA accountant in 1987. He has worked at the Audit Commission, the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea (as Head of Audit) and the Western Isles Council (as Deputy Director) and Oxford City Council as their Director of Corporate Services. Mark is now Finance Programme Director at the Local Government Association.
He is a member of Baywind since 1997, and interested in environmental issues; a participant in the Centre of Alternative Technology carbon challenge - when families were followed as they reduced their emissions over a period of 12 months.
Together with his wife, Mark renovated their house to high environmental standards (the subject of an OU programme). Mark is also vice Chair of Oxford’s Credit Union and a Community Governor at Cherwell Secondary School.
