Simon Pratt has worked for Sustrans for 12 years and is currently Regional Director for South East England, a post he has occupied for five years. He is responsible for the delivery of all Sustrans’ operations in the region and he manages a team of six staff. This work includes:
- planning, delivery and maintenance of the National Cycle Network
- the StreetTread Active Travel project in Southampton
- assessment and management of Links to Schools schemes
- delivery of seven Connect2 schemes
- project management of Greenway construction work
Prior to joining Sustrans, he lived and worked co-operatively for many years, including the Redfield Community in Buckinghamshire where he lived for 13 years and acquired varied skills in business and event management, co-operative living, conflict resolution, organic horticulture, forestry, eco-renovation, permaculture and more.
